Have you been dreaming of doing your yoga teacher training with salty hair, sandy toes, wearing no makeup and only board shorts? Can you imagine finishing a sweaty sunrise yoga practice, then strolling down to the beach for a swim and a fresh coconut?

Join Kanami in this idyllic beach town on Mexico’s Oaxacan Coast at her beautiful outdoor yoga shala. Regardless if you are looking to become a yoga teacher, or are simply interested in learning more and strengthening your personal practice, this transformational journey is for you. You will receive your 200 hour Yoga Alliance accredited certification upon graduation of this course.
Kanami has been teaching yoga in Canada, Japan, California, and Mexico for over 10 years, and is the founder of the Powder Yoga Niseko studio in Niseko, Japan. She is an E-RYT 500 hour Certified Teacher with Yoga Alliance, a Mat Pilates Instructor, a Traditional Thai Masseuse, and has also worked as a whitewater rafting river guide for 12 years before she decided to focus more on Powder Yoga. Yoga keeps her strong, focused, and flexible so she can play the sports she loves, wanderlust around the globe, and make a living along the way. Sharing her love for yoga, health, wellness, travel, pilates, sport, and the great outdoors is her ultimate passion.
Puerto Escondido is an idyllic beach town on Mexico’s Oaxacan Coast that has managed to remain under the radar of mainstream tourism in spite of its world-class surfing, long stretches of golden sand beaches, growing yoga community, and thriving culinary scene. There is something for everyone in Puerto regardless if you want to relax in a hammock with a book all day, or plan daily adventures.
Your daily course schedule will leave plenty of time for exploring the area, and even the chance to try out the world-class surf breaks of Zicatela and La Punta….if you dare! Puerto Escondido is known as a surfing Mecca due to it’s infamous and absolutely giant wave on Zicatela beach, but there is an abundance of other great things to do in this area and smaller waves to surf.
